A steel foundry corporation that has eleven plants in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Portugal and Mexico

Environment consisted of System 34 running a heavily modified version of MAPICS.

Project:

Initial requirement was to perform a system requirements analysis. Upon completion a proposal for Back Ending the S34 with a PC Based  database constructed with daily and realtime downloads using terminal emulation. This was modified to include Front Ends for Sales Order Processing and Master Scheduling of the factories. The developed systems were then to be rolled out to all the sites.

Project Manager for SDLC of a large custom Manufacturing Application for multi national Steel Foundry using Visual Basic, MS Access and SQL Server. Application allowed for Capacity analysis and detail scheduling and reporting at the workcenter.  Provided custom interface to Peoplesoft Financials (AR,AP,GL and AM) and HR modules.  Three tier architecture, supported by Visual Modeler, Database replication with financial consolidation for eleven sites. Implemented Client/ Server LAN/WAN for over 300 users at US, Mexico and UK sites.
